Good Smile Company is bringing one of Fate/stay night’s most beloved figures back in a new form. Reincarnation Fate/stay night Saber Lily ~Distant Avalon~ takes the classic scale figure of Saber Lily and turns it into a non-scale plastic model kit, keeping the same high-level sculpt while letting fans build the “white Knight Princess” with their own hands. Standing around 200 mm tall and priced at 9,400 yen in Japan, the kit is set to ship around June 2026, with preorders open now at AmiAmi and official Good Smile storefronts worldwide.

Reincarnation turns the Saber Lily figure into a model kit

The Reincarnation line is all about taking iconic fixed-pose figures and “rebirthing” them as color-separated plastic model kits. In Saber Lily’s case, the starting point is the famous Distant Avalon figure, long considered a definitive take on her knight-princess design. The sculpt is not loosely adapted—Good Smile explicitly notes that the kit retains the same sculptural beauty as the original scale while re-engineering it as a buildable model.

For collectors who missed the original or do not want to chase aftermarket prices, this gives a second shot at a centerpiece Saber Lily… with the twist that you assemble it yourself instead of unboxing a finished statue.

Saber Lily Avalon pose and dress sculpt preserved in detail

Visually, the kit keeps the dramatic moment fans remember: Saber Lily slashing forward with Excalibur while championing Avalon, her white dress sweeping around her in a wide, layered arc. The ruffled skirt, armor plating and ribbons are all broken down into model parts, but the overall silhouette matches the original figure so closely that promotional shots can be mistaken for a fixed PVC release at first glance.

This is still a static display piece—there is no articulation—but that also means the pose is tuned purely for visual impact, not joint engineering. On a shelf, it reads as a premium figure first and a model kit second.

Updated parts by original sculptor Takayuki Kawahara

One of the biggest selling points is that Takayuki Kawahara, the sculptor behind the original Saber Lily figure, returned to refine the kit version. According to the product description, certain areas of the sculpt have been brushed up specifically for Reincarnation, taking advantage of modern tooling and the different constraints of plastic model production.

In practice, that means sharper edges on armor, more defined folds in the dress and small tweaks that builders will notice as they handle each part. It feels less like a one-to-one downgrade into “kit form” and more like a director’s cut that happens to come on runners.

Build-focused features: decals, face options and 200 mm size

As a model kit, Reincarnation Saber Lily is designed to be approachable even if you are more figure collector than hardcore gunpla builder. The parts come molded in multiple colors, and water-slide decals are included to recreate fine decorations and patterns on the outfit and armor. You also get two face options: one pre-printed face plate with eyes already tampo-printed on, and one blank face for those who want to paint and apply eye decals themselves.

At roughly 200 mm in height, the finished model sits close to a 1/7 figure in presence, but with the added satisfaction of “I built this” baked in.

Position of this Saber Lily model among Fate and figure lines

At 9,400 yen in Japan (with international pricing varying by tax and shipping), this kit lands between prize figures and high-end scale statues. You are paying more than you would for a casual Fate display piece, but you are getting a sculpt that once anchored an entire figure lineup, now with extra build interactivity and updated detailing.

For Fate collectors who already own multiple Artoria variants, this Reincarnation release reads as a “build-it-yourself definitive Lily.” For newer fans, it can function as a first serious centerpiece without jumping straight into ultra-premium territory.

Preorder options at AmiAmi for overseas Fate collectors

Preorders are live through AmiAmi, where the kit is listed as Reincarnation Fate/stay night Saber Lily -Distant Avalon- Plastic Model, as well as Good Smile’s own online shops in Japan, North America and Europe, plus select partner retailers. Overseas fans used to importing figures will find the process familiar: bookmark the listing, check your region’s Good Smile storefront or trusted hobby shop, and decide whether you want the convenience of a finished statue or the hands-on build of this Reincarnation kit.

If the idea of assembling Avalon’s white knight yourself sounds even a little appealing, this Saber Lily might be the one you clear desk space for.
