The Food Diary of Miss Maid (メイドさんは食べるだけ) is getting closer to its April 2026 TV debut, and the latest update is basically a full meal: broadcast and streaming plans, a brand-new promo video, two newly revealed cast members, and theme song artists—plus a free advance screening where you can watch the first three episodes. 🍚✨

Broadcast and streaming plans for April 2026

The TV anime adaptation of Susumu Maeya’s gentle gourmet slice-of-life is scheduled to begin airing in Japan in April 2026. According to the announcement, the series will air on TOKYO MX, Yomiuri TV, and BS Asahi, with streaming also planned via d Anime Store and other services.

First promo video pairs visuals with “Ribbon”

The first promotional video is now out, and it’s built to make you hungry on purpose. The trailer also gives the first listen to the opening theme, “Ribbon,” performed by majiko—bright, warm, and perfectly matched to Suzume’s small everyday discoveries.

New character reveals: Sora and An’s voices

Two more characters have been introduced with their voice cast. Sora Endo is voiced by Shizuka Ishigami, and An Nobutsuki is voiced by Hiromi Igarashi.

Sora is a high school boy who can’t stop thinking about Suzume after a chance encounter, while An is a neighbor whose connection with Suzume begins after a helpful moment. Expect a little sweetness alongside the comfort food vibes.

Theme songs set the mood, with CD details

The opening theme is majiko’s “Ribbon,” while the ending theme is ARCANA PROJECT’s “Shiawase Flavor.” Both artists shared comments about leaning into the series’ warmth and everyday happiness.

There’s also a CD release planned for the ending theme on April 22, 2026, with multiple editions and a first-press bonus included.

Free advance screening offers episodes 1–3

A special advance screening has been announced, where selected attendees can watch episodes 1 through 3 ahead of the TV broadcast. The event is scheduled for February 20, 2026 at Animate Theater in Ikebukuro, Tokyo.

Attendees will receive a special A4 clear file, and a bonus video message from Kana Ichinose (Suzume) and Chihiro Sunou (Ricotta) is also planned. Please note: there will be no cast appearance on stage.
