What is “Tenmaku no Jaadugar”?
Based on the manga by Tomato Soup currently serialized in Akita Shoten’s “Souffle,” Tenmaku no Jaadugar is a gripping historical drama set in the 13th century during the rise of the Mongol Empire.
The story follows Sitara, a young girl who lost her mother and was torn from her hometown, ending up in a slave market in Iran. Taken in by a family of scholars, she is gifted with “knowledge.” But when the Mongol Empire’s ambition reaches her city, her peaceful days end, and destiny begins to move.
The original manga is highly acclaimed, having won first place in the “Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2023” (Female Readers category) and ranking in the “Manga Taisho” for two consecutive years (2023 and 2024). With such a powerful story and an unbeatable creative team, this anime is poised to be a major event in 2026.
