Ranma 1/2 fans who grew up with cursed springs and chaotic dojo fights now have a new way to bring that energy home—at almost half of real-world size. From December 19, 2025, sculpt studio DesignCOCO is taking applications on its COCO Store for the MAPPA × DesignCOCO Ranma 1/2 Half-Scale Figure, a towering 75cm statue of Ranma Saotome priced at 600,000 yen before tax (660,000 yen including tax). Lottery entries stay open until April 16, 2026, with shipping planned for October 2027, and only 100 serial-numbered pieces will ever be made.

A Half-Scale Ranma Figure That Feels Almost Life-Size

At around 75cm including the base, this half-scale Ranma is closer to a small statue than a regular figure. For comparison, many standard anime figures sit around 20–25cm tall—so this piece is roughly three times that height and has far more volume. Placed next to a TV stand or display shelf, it has the physical presence of a modern art piece, capturing Ranma’s dynamic martial-arts pose in a size that’s hard to ignore even across the room.

Museum-Level Craftsmanship from MAPPA and DesignCOCO

The project combines MAPPA, the studio behind the new Ranma 1/2 anime, with DesignCOCO, a Japanese maker known for high-end scale and life-size statues. The figure uses FRP (fiberglass-reinforced plastic) for strength and stability, then receives hand-painted finishing by experienced artisans in Japan. Every detail—from the tension in Ranma’s stance to the shine on the kettle in his left hand and the motion in his braid—is sculpted to feel like a frame lifted straight from the show. It is the kind of finish you would expect to see in an exhibition space, not just on a bedroom shelf.

Only 100 Serial-Numbered Pieces in a High-Stakes Lottery

Because each statue is finished by hand, the run is capped at just 100 units worldwide, each with its own serial number. Instead of first-come, first-served, buyers enter a lottery during the application window; winners get the right to purchase this 660,000-yen collectible. That setup makes the figure feel more like a limited art print or numbered sculpture than ordinary merch, and it means even hardcore collectors will be crossing their fingers when results go out.

Following COCO Store and Official Accounts from Overseas

Applications are handled through DesignCOCO’s official online shop, the COCO Store, where the Ranma 1/2 Half-Scale Figure will be listed with full photos and details. Overseas fans should keep an eye on regional shipping information and any updates posted on the product page. For broader franchise news, the TV anime’s official site and X account, plus DesignCOCO’s own profile at @designcoco_t, are the best places to watch for fresh visuals, production shots, and reminders as the lottery runs.

Imagining a 75cm Ranma as the Center of Your Collection

Whether or not you ever hit the lottery, this release says a lot about how seriously Ranma 1/2 is being treated in its new anime era. A half-scale, FRP statue is the kind of centerpiece that can anchor an entire room: imagine Ranma standing beside Blu-ray boxes, vintage merch, or art prints from your favorite episodes. For some fans, this will be the ultimate “I grew up with Ranma” statement piece; for everyone else, it is still a chance to enjoy photos, campaigns, and behind-the-scenes posts as MAPPA and DesignCOCO roll out one of the boldest classic-anime figures in years.
