Who Is Releasing the New Merch?
The new merchandise line is being released by Animate, one of Japan’s largest retailers specializing in anime-related products. The items are based on the beloved anime series Natsume’s Book of Friends, which continues to captivate fans with its touching stories of friendship between humans and spirits.

All products will go on sale starting April 26, 2025. Supplies are limited, and many of these items are expected to sell out quickly—especially those featuring Nyanko-sensei.

Why Should Fans Be Excited?
In addition to the beautiful new items, Animate is also holding a special event: the “Natsume’s Book of Friends Happy Spring! Fair”, running from April 26 to May 18. During the fair period, customers who spend ¥1,100 or more (including preorders with a deposit) on eligible Natsume goods, books, CDs, Blu-rays, or DVDs will receive one of five randomly distributed bromides as a free bonus.
These bromides feature exclusive artwork and are not available outside the campaign—so it’s a perfect time to stock up on Natsume goods while receiving something extra.
How to Make the Most of the Fair
To participate in the Happy Spring! Fair, simply shop at any Animate store or the online shop during the campaign dates. For every ¥1,100 spent (including tax), or for each eligible item purchased with a qualifying deposit, you’ll receive one bromide—chosen at random.
