Undead and Unluck are back for a blizzard-sized rematch. On December 25, 2025, the Undead Unluck Winter Special will hit ABEMA with a one-week free stream, plus a pair of marathon broadcasts and a full 24-episode run of the TV anime so you can relive every wild loop of Fuuko and Andy’s story.

Undead Unluck Winter Special Streams First on ABEMA

Based on Yoshifumi Tozuka’s hit battle fantasy manga, Undead Unluck (アンデッドアンラック) follows unlucky girl Fuuko Izumo and immortal wild card Andy as they crash headfirst into a world of Negators, UMAs, and a rigged apocalypse. The TV anime’s first season ran for 24 episodes from October 2023 to March 2024, and now the story returns as a one-hour Winter Special.

On Thursday, December 25, 2025, ABEMA will start streaming the Winter Arc in Japan from 25:10 JST (that is 1:10 a.m. on December 26 in standard time notation). The special will be available to watch on demand with a one-week free viewing window, so fans can jump in as soon as it drops and rewatch as many times as they like while it remains free.

If you have been waiting to see what happens after Season 1’s finale, this is your chance to dive straight into the next chapter the moment it arrives.

Blizzard Battlefield Pits Union Against Billy’s Justice

The Winter Special takes place in a frozen battlefield wrapped in UMA Winter’s blizzard. Billy, who betrayed Union and seized the Round Table, is moving to steal the artifacts Arc and Apocalypse for his own plan to kill God. Juiz appears in front of him and reveals two harsh truths: Arc can only loop the world one more time, and if they fail now, there will be no second chance.

She asks Billy to stand with Union and bet everything on Fuuko’s “Unluck”. Billy refuses, insisting that their paths cannot align. What follows is an intense clash of convictions and abilities, where Juiz’s sword and strategies collide with Billy’s stolen Negator powers and precise gunfire. UMAs swarm into the battle, twisting the rules of the world and turning the snowstorm into a living minefield.

Elsewhere, Andy and Fuuko, having captured Autumn’s core, are flying toward their next mission. Because Juiz has entrusted Apocalypse to Andy, Billy sends assassins into the sky, dragging the main duo into the chaos of the Winter battlefield at the worst possible timing.

New Faces Terror and Balance Join the Fight

Part of the excitement around this TV special is the arrival of key newcomers. Billy’s ally Terror (also known as Tella), voiced by Kensho Ono, finally steps fully into the spotlight. His Negator ability interferes with communication itself, making him a terrifying presence in a battle where coordination can mean life or death.

The special also introduces an original UMA called Balance, created specially for this arc by the author. Voiced by Takehito Koyasu, Balance embodies the world’s equilibrium, and its appearance raises the stakes of the Winter battlefield far beyond a simple duel between Union and Under. For manga readers and anime-only fans alike, seeing how Balance tips the scales is one of the big selling points of the special.

Core cast members such as Yuichi Nakamura as Andy, Moe Kahara as Fuuko, Mariya Ise as Juiz, and Rikiya Koyama as Billy return, backed by director Sunghoo Park at E&H production with planning by TMS. The music is composed by Kenichiro Suehiro, and QUEEN BEE’s songs “01” and “02” power up the opening and ending, giving the Winter Arc the sound and impact of a major event.

Reasons You Should Catch This Winter Arc

Winter Arc is not a throwaway side story. It moves the plot toward the endgame by revealing more about Billy’s real motives, the limits of looping the world, and the true role of Arc and Apocalypse. It also delivers some of the most intense action yet, as Negator abilities, artifacts, and UMAs all collide in one blizzard-soaked battlefield.

With Sunghoo Park directing, the special leans hard into fast, weighty fight choreography that makes the most of Undead Unluck’s regenerative body horror and reality-breaking rules. Combined with QUEEN BEE’s high-energy songs and Suehiro’s emotional score, the Winter Arc feels closer to a climactic movie chapter than a simple bonus episode.

For long-time fans, seeing the original UMA Balance and Terror in motion is a rare treat. For newcomers who have only heard the title, this is a powerful reason to finally jump in and see why people call Undead Unluck one of the wildest shonen series in recent years.
