The world of Attack on Titan(進撃の巨人)is heading to Awaji Island in Hyogo, Japan. Anime park Nijigen no Mori will launch a new collaboration event in spring 2026, featuring a nighttime “Attack on Titan THE NIGHT WALK – Beyond the Walls –” and a yet-to-be-detailed daytime program. Set inside the forests of Hyogo Prefectural Awajishima Park, the event promises an immersive way for fans to step beyond the Walls and into the anime’s dark fantasy world.
Attack on Titan’s world comes to Awaji Island’s anime park
Nijigen no Mori is an outdoor anime theme park built inside Hyogo Prefectural Awajishima Park on Awaji Island, combining nature, projection technology and manga/anime IPs like Naruto, Godzilla and Demon Slayer. The new Attack on Titan collaboration recreates elements of the TV anime in that same woodland setting, positioning visitors as citizens confronting the looming threat of Titans. With both a day attraction and a night attraction planned, the park is aiming for a “live inside the series for a day” style experience rather than a simple photo spot.
Night Walk experience that puts you beyond the Walls
The headline content is the nighttime “Attack on Titan THE NIGHT WALK – Beyond the Walls –.” Guests walk roughly 1.2 km through a dark forest course while scenes from Attack on Titan are projected onto the trees and scenery, accompanied by a surround-style soundscape. Participants join Eren Yeager and the others in a mission to reclaim freedom from the Titans, with the story unfolding as they advance along the path and culminating in a reward of exclusive Nijigen no Mori novelty goods at the goal.

Projection mapping, sound design and a mission with Eren
Nijigen no Mori has already run similar “Night Walk” events with Demon Slayer, using large-scale projection mapping and multi-channel audio to turn the forest itself into a moving screen. The Attack on Titan version follows that template, but retools it around battles beyond the Walls, the terror of giant silhouettes in the dark and the push toward freedom that defines the series. Rather than a jump-scare horror maze, it is framed as a story-driven walk where you move with the characters, listen carefully, look up, and occasionally stop for key scenes that make the world feel uncomfortably close.
Limited goods and food inspired by Attack on Titan heroes
In addition to the attractions, the collaboration will feature Nijigen no Mori–exclusive merchandise and food themed around characters such as Eren Yeager and Levi. Details are still to come, but past collaborations at the park have included items like character-inspired meals, drinks and limited goods tied to specific missions or tickets. Visitors can expect Attack on Titan–branded items that you can only get on Awaji Island, making the event a tempting pilgrimage for collectors as well as anime tourists.
Nijigen no Mori: Awaji Island’s nature-based anime destination
Nijigen no Mori sits inside Awajishima Park at 2425-2 Kusumoto, Awaji City, Hyogo Prefecture. From Kobe’s Sannomiya area, highway buses take around 40–50 minutes to reach the Awaji Island park, with a short shuttle connection to the anime area; from Osaka, direct express buses take roughly two hours, making a day trip realistic for many travelers. With multiple anime attractions in one green park, the 2026 Attack on Titan collaboration is shaping up to be a strong anchor for fans planning a Kansai trip and looking for a way to literally walk beyond the Walls.
