San-X and Fanworks have teamed up to bring a brand-new adorable mystery anime, “Uso Tantei Tomanto,” to life! Starting in fall 2025, this exciting short anime series will broadcast on TRAIN TV®, the in-train video platform across major JR lines in the Tokyo area.
What Is “Uso Tantei Tomanto”?
“Uso Tantei Tomanto” is a fusion of cuteness and mystery, starring characters inspired by fruits and vegetables. The protagonist, Tomanto, a tomato detective, uses his sharp sense to spot “bright red lies” and solve curious cases!
Produced by Fanworks—known for hits like “Sumikko Gurashi”—and San-X, creators of “Rilakkuma” and “Tarepanda,” this project promises humor, heart, and thrilling mystery for audiences of all ages.
Star-Studded Production Team
Two industry giants join forces: producer Michihiko Suwa (“Detective Conan,” “City Hunter”) and writer Yoichi Kato (“Yo-kai Watch,” “Aikatsu!”). Together, they promise a fresh and charming mystery world filled with fun and surprise!
