Think you have to move to Tokyo to join the game industry? Think again. Aomori’s own “Hirosaki Creators Bank” is proving that remote work can open new doors for artists, designers, and programmers—no matter where they live. Backed by Tokyo-based game company Design Act Inc., the project invites creators from Aomori to collaborate on real-world projects in the gaming and digital content field. Their next info session is coming up on November 1, 2025—and it might just change your career.
Who: A Bridge Between Aomori Creators and Tokyo’s Game Industry
The Hirosaki Creators Bank is a long-running initiative started in 2016 by Shogo Seno, the designer behind Hirosaki’s mascot “Takamaru-kun.” The program is managed in partnership with Design Act Inc., a Tokyo-based game development company. Their mission? To give local talent in Aomori the chance to work professionally in creative fields without having to leave their hometown.
What: A Remote-Friendly Path Into Creative Work
Whether you specialize in 2D/3D design, animation, or programming, Hirosaki Creators Bank offers a fully remote, project-based entry into the world of digital production. Participants work directly with Tokyo-based teams, contributing to real commercial projects.
When: Join the Info Session on November 1, 2025
This year’s official information session will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM (doors open at 1:30 PM). It’s the only scheduled session of the year, so don’t miss it.
Where: Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture
The event will take place at the Dotecho Community Park, Hall B, located in Hirosaki City. Even though the work is fully remote, the orientation is conducted in person to meet potential participants face-to-face.
Why: Talent Shouldn’t Be Limited by Location
With the rise of remote work, many in Aomori now dream of joining creative industries without relocating. This project responds to that dream, offering practical guidance, peer collaboration, and actual client work—without leaving town.
How: How to Get Involved
To join, participants must attend the info session, submit a portfolio, complete assigned tasks, and pass a selection process. It’s free to apply, and support is provided every step of the way. Applications close on October 15, 2025. Sign up through the official website: https://www.hirosakicb.com/
