Chiai Fujikawa is once again lending her voice to a dark, high-stakes anime world. Her new song “Inori” has been chosen as the ending theme for the TV anime SHIBOYUGI: Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table, which begins airing and streaming on January 7, 2026. The track will debut as a digital single on the same day, ahead of its appearance on Fujikawa’s newly announced full album Hankei 3 Meters (半径3メートル), due out March 4.
Chiai Fujikawa Joins SHIBOYUGI with a New Ending Song
Known for emotional anime themes from series like The Rising of the Shield Hero, Digimon Adventure: and Talentless Nana, singer-songwriter Chiai Fujikawa has built a reputation for songs that sit right at the edge of despair and hope. Her next step is SHIBOYUGI: Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table, the TV adaptation of Yuushi Ukai’s award-winning light novel, airing from January 7, 2026.
“Inori” was written specifically for this anime, which follows girls forced into lethal “death games” for survival. Instead of going full aggressive, Fujikawa leans into quiet, stubborn resolve—perfect for a story about characters who keep moving even when their world looks broken.

Inori Channels Quiet Despair and a Faint Light of Hope
In her comment, Fujikawa describes “Inori” as a song for people who carry feelings they can’t put into words, yet still choose to move forward. She talks about days when good and evil, “right answers” and even salvation all blur out of sight, and all you can do is walk toward a tiny light only you can see. The final lyric uses the word “iku” with a double meaning—both “to die” and “to go”—to express how living means advancing toward death while still choosing to step ahead.
That tension between fragility and strength has always been one of her trademarks, and it makes “Inori” feel like a spiritual cousin to her past endings, rather than a simple repeat.
Digital Single and Anime Broadcast Schedule for Early 2026
The digital single “Inori” drops on January 7, 2026, the same day SHIBOYUGI premieres. The anime will air on stations including TOKYO MX, BS Nippon, ABC TV, WOWOW and more, with simulcast streaming on Netflix and other platforms and a 60-minute special for Episode 1.
For many overseas fans, that means your first listen to “Inori” may be during the end credits of the premiere, with the full song waiting on digital platforms right after.
Hankei 3 Meters Album Editions, Live Blu-ray and Track Highlights
Fujikawa’s full album Hankei 3 Meters (半径3メートル) arrives on March 4, 2026. It collects “Inori,” her Shield Hero Season 4 ending theme “Eien ni Ikkai no,” and September’s digital single “Daremo Itte Kurenai kara,” plus additional new tracks.
Three physical versions are planned: a standard edition CD, a limited edition CD + Blu-ray, and an even bigger Columbia Music Shop–exclusive box that adds a live CD, a 52-page photo book and a slipcase. The Blu-ray includes around 70 minutes of footage from her June 2025 one-man show “FUJIKAWA CHIAI BIRTHDAY LIVE 2025 at HULIC HALL TOKYO,” giving fans a substantial live document alongside the new studio material.
Store Bonuses, Limited Box Sets and 2026 Tour Plans
Retailer bonuses have been mapped out for early buyers: items like a multi-case at Tower Records, an A4 clear file at HMV, a “mega jacket” at Amazon, an acrylic keyholder at Rakuten Books and a mini sticker at participating support shops, with Animate’s bonus still to be announced. The Columbia Music Shop–exclusive edition also comes with a mini acrylic stand in addition to its upgraded packaging.
To support the album, Chiai Fujikawa Live Tour 2026 “Hankei 3 Meters” (working title) will start in March at YEBISUYA PRO in Okayama—her hometown—and move to Tokyo’s Hikosen Theater on April 12, with more dates to come.
